Rune System Guide – Serene Ragnarok
Introduction
The Rune System is an exclusive content feature in Serene Ragnarok that allows players to enhance their Upper Headgear with powerful Runes. Players must farm Runestones, craft Runes, and attach them to their gear to gain various bonuses. This system provides an engaging progression path that rewards players for farming, crafting, and strategic rune usage.
🪨 Runestone Farming
Runestones are the raw materials needed for crafting Runes. They come in three types:
- Common Runestones (Easiest to farm, used in all rune crafts)
- Epic Runestones (Mid-tier material, required for Epic and Mystic Runes)
- Mystic Runestones (Rarest, required for crafting the most powerful Mystic Runes)
Players can farm Runestones by hunting specific monsters in designated maps.
📍 Runestone Drop Locations & Monsters
All MVP monsters now have a chance to drop Common, Epic, and Mystic Runestones in addition to their regular loot. This provides an alternative method for obtaining Runestones outside of standard farming locations.

Runes are crafted at the Rune Crafting NPC, where players must combine Runestones and pay a Zeny fee. Higher-tier Runes require a mix of different Runestone rarities and additional crafting materials.
Take note Common Rune crafting has a 10% chance of failing. Epic and Mystic Rune have 100% success rate.

Runes grant permanent stat bonuses when attached to Upper Headgear. These effects vary based on Rune rarity.

- Allows players to craft Runes from Runestones and materials.
- Randomly assigns a bonus effect based on Rune type.
📌 Rune Attachment NPC
- Attaches Runes to Upper Headgear for 1,000,000 Zeny.
- Once attached, the Rune is bound to the headgear and cannot be removed freely. However, the Headgear is still tradeable.
📌 Mystic Rune Recycle NPC
- Recycles a Mystic Rune
- Cost: 1,000,000 Zeny
- The Mystic Rune will be recycled into 2 Mystic Runestones.
