High Wizard 1v1 PvP Event: Game Mechanics

Overview

Welcome to the ultimate showdown of bug exterminators! For far too long, High Wizards have dominated the Prontera Culverts, frying innocent Bugs with spells. But now, it’s time for these magical farmers to put down their anti-Bug spray and face each other in a battle of wits, power, and perfectly timed Safety Walls!

This event is a chance for High Wizards to prove that they’re more than just glorified pest control. It’s a test of true magical prowess, where only the most strategic and skillful wizard will rise above the fray to claim victory—and ultimate bragging rights.

Requirements

  1. Character Level: All participants must have a High-Wizard character at level 99.
  2. Equipment Regulations:
    • Equipment for the event will be provided by the Game Masters.
    • All existing equipment will be temporarily removed from participants before the event.
    • Participants are not allowed to bring or use their own equipment.
    • After the event, all equipment will be returned to its original state.
  3. Rewards for Participation:
    • Every participant will receive 15 Elite Siege Supply Boxes and 30 Hourly Vouchers as a token of appreciation for their preparation and participation in the event.

Tournament Style and Format

The event will follow a Single Elimination Tournament format, which is best suited for a 1v1 competition. This format ensures that each match is decisive, with the winner advancing to the next round and the loser being eliminated from the tournament.

  1. Seeding and Bracketing:

    • All participants will be randomly seeded into a single-elimination bracket.
    • The initial round matchups will be determined randomly to ensure fairness.
    • The tournament will progress through a series of rounds, including Quarterfinals, Semifinals, and the Final.
  2. Match Rules:

    • Each match will consist of 3 rounds.
    • The winner of each match is determined by the best of 3 rounds format, meaning the first participant to win 2 rounds will proceed to the next stage of the tournament.
    • Matches will take place in a designated PvP arena, supervised by a Game Master to ensure fair play.
    • Only the Finals will be best of 5.
  3. Victory Conditions:

    • A round is won when one High Wizard successfully defeats the other.
    • Victory is determined either by the elimination of the opponent (reducing their HP to zero).
  4. Tournament Progression:

    • Winners of each round will advance to the next stage of the bracket.
    • In the case of an odd number of participants, one player may randomly receive a "bye" to advance to the next round without a match.
    • The tournament will continue until the final match determines the overall champion.

Event Rules

  • No External Assistance: No player is allowed to receive help from other players, potions, or buffs not provided by the Game Masters.
  • Fair Play: Any form of cheating, glitch exploitation, or rule-breaking will result in immediate disqualification and may also result to account and IP Ban. This includes exploit of the existing event features.
  • Respectful Conduct: All participants must maintain respectful conduct towards each other and the Game Masters throughout the event.
